  • Hotel charmant et très bien localisé
    TripAdvisor - fatinour , the 8 August 2019

  • Very nice hotel in a great location.
    TripAdvisor - fcamer754944 , the 1 August 2019

Just back from spending 4 nights in this hotel with my 17 year old daughter. The room exceeded my expectations as I thought it would be smaller. The beds were comfortable and we slept really well as it was so quiet. Our stay was on a room only basis but there are loads of restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. The transportation links are excellent. We got the train from the airport to Port Royal and it was only a short walk to the hotel along Boulevard du Montparnasse. The hotel is on a side street to the right. We loved being so close to Luxembourg Gardens, a beautiful place to sit and relax and take stock of the history of the area. We would happily return in the future and we will have very special memories of our Mother/Daughter trip to Paris.

  • Ideal location at a reasonable price
    TripAdvisor - Julie890 , the 10 July 2019

I booked this hotel for a short trip for my daughter's 16th birthday. The location is in a quiet street and as 2 females we felt safe walking back to the hotel at midnight as it is really well lit and people around sitting in restaurants. Our room was on the 3rd floor, overlooking the court yard within the hotel - a comfortable bed and the windows open very wide to allow a lovely breeze into the room. There is air-con but we didn't need it. The room is small but typical for Paris. We were only in the room early morning or late evening so it was ideal. The staff are friendly. The Metro station Vavin is almost on the doorstep, which takes you direct to Notre Dame and we found it easy to change to other lines to the Eiffel Tower etc. The Paris Metro is fairly easy to use - colour coded and the map layout is similar style as the London Underground so as a new traveller to Paris, we didn't find it a problem at all, about 1.80euros one way. There are customer services staff in a lot of the stations. We also took the RER B from Charles De Gaulle airport about 10.80euros one way to Port Royal. Then a very pleasant 15-20min walk on the tree lined boulevard to the hotel. The trains and metros are extremely frequent.

  • Amazing!
    TripAdvisor - Karen A , the 7 July 2019

Great experience! We booked a room for 3 and got the duplex. The stay was amazing. All we needed was a bed to sleep, a shower, and AC. The mini-bar/mini-fridge was a nice touch (even if we didn't take advantage of it). We came to Paris as tourists and we cannot say we were disappointed with the hotel. The staff was great and indeed available 24/7. The rooms were clean and the beds (bed for two and one sofa bed) comfy. The cleaning lady was very nice when we interrupted her work (we had to come back a couple of hours after we left one day). Plus, I needed some ice for my knee and the receptionist did not hesitate to give us some. We would definitely book a room with Hotel A La Villa Des Artistes again if the opportunity presented itself.

  • Accueil agréable à Montparnasse
    TripAdvisor - Sunshine34890791063 , the 29 June 2019

Accueil agréable et service impeccable : chambre spacieuse, propre et bien équipée. La literie reposante. Le personnel est serviable et toujours souriant. Le quartier regroupe le meilleur de Paris : boutiques, cinémas, cafés et restaurants à profusion !

  • Very nice hotel
    TripAdvisor - DaveF692 , the 21 June 2019

My granddaughter and I stayed in separate rooms for 3 nights while visiting Paris. The rooms were very nice, quiet, and comfortable. A tasty self service breakfast was available starting at 7 AM. The hotel staff spoke good English. From the hotel it is around a 30 to 45 minute walk to Notre Dame, the Eiffel tower, and the Louvre. The price was good for a hotel in Paris. I would not hesitate to stay there again should I travel back to Paris.
